Emergency Medical Services
World Class Emergency Medical Services
The Greeley Fire Department is committed to delivering world-class emergency medical services (EMS) to our community, serving both residents and visitors with pride. Our personnel, all trained at a minimum as emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and many choosing to advance their knowledge and expertise as Paramedics, stand ready at each of our seven firehouses.
From the moment we welcome new recruits, we instill a culture of excellence in EMS, ensuring our responders continually improve their readiness for any emergency medical response with training occurring on a monthly basis. We embrace the latest technology, bringing advanced prehospital medical equipment and techniques directly to those we serve. Combined with our strategically positioned fire stations, this groundwork makes sure those who call us continually receive the highest level of care we can offer when seconds matter the most.
Collaboration with the University of Colorado Health's EMS Division further ensures our community receives an exceptional level of prehospital care. As a CAAS-accredited (Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services) agency, UC Health EMS' providers help us deliver a high standard of care and customer service from the moment responders make contact with a patient until they complete transport to a local hospital, when needed. Recently, this partnership's commitment to excellence has helped to improve the out-of-hospital cardiac arrest save rate in the City of Greeley to higher than that of the national average.
