Caring For Our Watersheds™

An educational program sponsored by the Poudre Learning Center that weaves together the combined strengths of industry, environmental organizations, and communities to engage high school students in preserving and improving their local watersheds. The City of Greeley supports the Colorado Contest, open to students who live in Colorado borders within the Cache la Poudre River Watershed and Big Thompson Watershed. We provide information and resources to help students implement their projects.

Greeley's Water History Exhibit

The Greeley History Museum has a permanent exhibit on Greeley's water history.

Landscape Lecture Series

About 40% of household water is used to grow and properly maintain bluegrass lawns that are not sustainable in the Colorado landscapes. Every February through May, Greeley offers a series of public lectures on a variety of landscape topics, and especially ways for sustainable landscapes.
