Greeley Recreation Receives $20,000 Grant to Support Youth Assistance Program
GREELEY, Colo. – The Weld Community Foundation recently awarded Greeley Recreation a $20,000 grant to benefit its Youth Assistance Fund program. This money, from the Littler Youth Fund, is intended to support the needs of young people in Weld County.
The funds will be available from November 2025 to October 2026 through Greeley Recreation's Youth Assistance Fund.
“Making recreation accessible to everyone is at the heart of what we do,” said Daniel Lawrence, recreation division manager. “We’re grateful for the support from the Littler Youth Fund—it helps open doors for those who might not otherwise have the opportunity to participate. I’m also proud of our team for continually finding creative ways to expand our programs and reach more youth in our community.”
Accessible Recreation for All
Assistance program funding is supported through sponsorships, donations, and grants. The goal is to ensure everyone has access to recreation programs. As long as funds are available, qualified requests are supported. Greeley Recreation’s Youth Assistance Fund program is available to ages 18 and younger.
The funds help cover the cost of sports and educational activities. Families who qualify for SNAP, WIC or CCCAP benefits can apply for the Youth Assistance Fund.
Assistance fund applications for 2026 will open in mid-December. For more information, visit GreeleyRec.com.
