Serving the Greeley Community
The Quality of Life tax was first approved by voters in 2002 and renewed for another 20 years in 2019. The tax opens access to amenities across the community.
This tax supports vital projects and investments in recreational and cultural facilities and programs, in addition to enhancing transportation. Contributions help improve city facilities and create spaces for everyone to enjoy.
Past projects supported by the tax have included Greeley’s Youth Sports Complex, numerous recreation facilities, parks and playground facilities and more.
Current and Recent Projects
- MERGE project: funding two significant interchanges along US Highway 34 plus new mobility hub for buses, bikes, and scooters along US Hwy 34 at Centerplace (ongoing)
- Delta Park: A neighborhood park transformation partnering with community members to reflect the vibrancy of the community.
- UCCC Orchestra Pit Lift: Installation of a new spiral mechanical lift to replace the existing equipment that is no longer serviceable.
- Boomerang Irrigation Replacement: A modern, efficient irrigation system on the north half of the golf course will significantly reduce labor, irrigation and repair costs while also improving playing conditions for our customers.
- Island Grove Event Center Chiller Replacement and Roof Repair: These improvements will help ensure the Event Center remains a dry, comfortable, and reliable space for community events, while also improving energy efficiency and reducing operating costs.
- Island Grove Master Plan: This long-term vision and development plan will guide the future of Island Grove, ensuring it remains Greeley’s premier destination and a vibrant community hub.
- Brentwood Park Playground Replacement: Students from Brentwood Middle School helped select the playground equipment, ensuring the new playground will support fun, movement, and social interaction.
- Twin Rivers Park Playground: With accessible climbing elements and ground-level play that engages the senses, this playground upgrade promotes inclusion, accessibility, and independent exploration for children of all abilities.

- Lincoln Park Redevelopment
- 83rd Avenue (12th to 9th Street) improvements: Includes a safe connection for the Sheep Draw Trail from in a high-traffic area
- Construction of all Poudre Trail trailheads
- Play equipment replacements and site enhancements to parks throughout the city, including Peak View Park Playground, Family Funplex Playground, Coyote Run Playground and Pheasant Run Playground.
